Recently my driver side door will not open when I click on the alarm.. One click the door unlocks (both doors) but when I try to open the driver door its stuck. I lock and open numerous times still won't open. So everytime this happen I have to BANG on the lever very HARD to losen something? I assume..then if I'm lucky I'll pull the lever and wallah!...this happens like all or most of the time. What is broken? should I have to replace the whole door assembly?
no your lock mech might be broken, if it sounds like somethings happening you might be ok, if you can take the door skin off and see if anything is bent or broken.
OPEN THE DOOR AND LOOK AT THE LOCKING PART THAT GOES TO THE DOOR TO THE CAR SLIDE THE LITTLE BAR UP SO IT ACTUALLY LOCKS THEN STICK A SCREDRIVER IN THERE AND UNLOCK THE DOORS THEN PULL THE HANDLE UP AND SLIDE IT FOWARD.IF THATS FINE CHECK THE PART ON THE CAR FOR CORRECT POSTION AND HEIGHT SUMTIMES U BANG IT IT PROBALLYS FREES IT UP AT THE HINGE A LITTLE GREASE ALWAYS HELPS.
i have the same problem with my passenger side door. my dad fixed the problem by spraying some wd40 onto the lock or you can try putting some grease on the lock. hope that helps your problem
