My Dash Is Dimming Ya'll!!!!

My Clusters are dimming behind my steering wheel....now my Climate Control console (the temp + fan dials) are dark... I've read the DIY on changing the bulbs behind the guages and clusters but how do I change the bulbs behind the Cimate controls?

I have the 1995 analogue system-with dials not buttons.

Don't sent me to the dealer.....

There should be some way to take off the panel covering the climate controls. Just look for some screws or some paneling that has screws behind it. Once you get behind there, look for the bulb sockets...

The screws are under the dials that set fan speed and air flow direction. Just pull those off (it's easy) and you will see the screws.

Thanks...I managed to get the blown bulb out....DAMN!!! it so tiny...I expected 100 bulbs back there not one little rice grain light bulb. The little bugger must have been bright to keep the ENTIRE Climate control panel lit up like that!!!

Hey should I go to the dealer and get the same bulb or do they make aftermarkets that shine brighter and shine in other colors?

did all bulbs suddenly get dimmer all at the same time? i'd be more inclined to think that it has something to do with the cluster instrument lights dimmer. perhaps you might want to check on that, too.

Problem: FIXED!!!

Its actually one bulb back there that slowly faded out behind the Climate control center. It's the size of a grain of rice but it manages to light up the entire face end to end...that is for the analogue style Climate Control.

Oh....My clusters were fine though. I just had the dimmer switch under the steering wheel acidentaly set to low and forgot. ghead
