I drive a '92 325i, and last night I washed my car on the driveway and when I tried starting it to pull it back into the garage it cranks but would NOT start. So today thought I'd replace the Main/DME(white) relay, which btw pulled a code of it(dme relay) weeks ago, and so I ran to the dealer and got one. Popped it in and still would not start
on the side: I noticed when I turn the ignition into the ON position the ABS light would turn on, flicker twice fast, and goes off. That's not normal is it?
Also I don't hear my fuel pump go on, when it's in the ON position. Fuel pump relay maybe? too bad the dealer doesnt stock those.

Help plz!
are you getting a spark? or is there no fuel delivered?
DME? as in the actual ECU behind the firewall? I've washed my car so many times and never had this problem, but I hope it's not wet. I'll have to check on that one and if its getting spark.
Really check your DME because it was a problem until 97 I believe when BMW corrected that problem. It may be that because even though you washed it yourself, water might have been accumulating there and finally did you in. Anyway that's my .02
..pulled the DME out tonight and disassembled it. It wasn't wet, but it DID GOT WET! and is now corroded
I'm gonna be calling around J-yards and see if they have any DME's laying around for me. That, and might take it to a local BMW specialist shop. Anyone recommend a place to get a new/used DME?
Oh wow the price on that one is still on the outrageous side : still wayy too much for me but thanks for looking anyway. Btw, The cheapest one I've found yet is $400 +shipping.. hmmm should I just jump on that one..
