Muffler Replacement

Hey guys,
After much research, this weekend I am (finally) going to replace my old noisy muffler with a new one. The only problem is, when you buy one from bavauto.com (cheapest I could find) you don't get the bolts that bolt it to the catalytic converter (actually, you don't get the rubber hangers or the gaskets either, but i found those elsewhere for even cheaper). So, what i need to know is, what size bolts do I need to buy? I'd prefer not to go to the STealer (they just seem like dicks on the phone not to mention expensive). I'd much rather go to Home Depot or Autozone kinda place if I can. Please let me know. Thanks

You can find a kit with bolts, hangers, the rubber parts, and gaskets. Try www.speedycarparts.com. they generally come in two parts, one with rubber, one without.

Now to your question. The flange bolts are 8mm X55mm. The hanger bolts are 8mm x 40mm.

WAIT! If you own a 318 or 323, this probably doesn't apply. Need to know model and year.

I have a '93 325i, so what you're saying does apply. Thanks for the caution though. With that piece of information I should have everything to throw the new muffler on. Thanks!
