I drive a 1994 318i, and my plan is to move the Climate control unit down to the bottom of the smaller slots. I figure if i can move that down and throw out the tape dek its a perfect size screen area for a dvd screen. Does anyone know wat wiring is involved with the Climate Control Unit, and how hard of a job this will be

OooooOoo... .Good idea. I was thinking of getting the 7in display for an intergrated nav/ stereo system but didn't want to relocated the OBC to the glove box... never thought of what you thought.

There may actually be enough cord in there to move it. If not, I imagine you could just cut the connector and splice in another 6-12 inches of wire.

I have pulled the climate control out of mine...there should be plenty of wire to just move the thing down if you remove the tape deck and thats with a 1996 digital climate control. They should be the same size, just yours uses knobs. Check it out, and let us know whats going on. Thats definitely a hot mod....
