Sorry if this was already covered, or if it's common knowledge here, but I'm a noob, and I hope someone here can help me. My buddy has an 88 325 w/ the i6 that the motor is good, and he said I could have it for free if I got a car with a bad motor to put it in. The thing is, that I want the 92+ body, and wanted to know if this motor would fit the newer years 325 without much modification. Thanks in advance!

well first off...that would be quite pointless you want to downgrade a 92+ body that has an m50 dohc 24v motor to a m20 sohc 12v motor

i'll just leave it at that...and these motors are inline 6's not V6's
edit: oh and to answer your original question i have absolutely no idea whether or not it would fit...mainly because i have never heard of anyone doing anything like that

well im sure its an option with enough money...but its a quite pointless modification. the 92+ not only have better motors they make more power and well are just all around better...putting in that motor even though its free is a waste of time and money regardless of racing or not.
