What engine possibilities may be swaped into 1995 325i body? I need some concrete info if its possible. I will probably keep my car as a project so I am doing a research on that at the moment. Was just wondering about your oppinion guys, so any comments are welcome.

Anything can be swapped in... obviously, anything from the e36 line will drop right in as far as fitment. I've seen people pop v12 monsters in these compartments...
If I were you, I'd look at the Euro S38 M5 Engine :P I think it puts down around 380hp or something like that...
nice. Any info about that swap? I am more looking for something with turbo or even a twin turbo and above 600hp

no one makes a twin turbo setup....and if you want to go above 600hp your either gonna have to talk to ICS/AA and spend like 20k...or know how to wrench and build your own turbo setup

I didnt say I wanan buy preset twin turbo motor, so I am not planing to spend 20K on it. This project gonna take about 2 years so I have time. The question was what engine can handle this setup technicaly. But thank you for reply.

If I were you, and I had a good amount of cash, say $10k or $15k, you could get off to a good start by swapping in an M5 motor like Haile said. The E39 M5 has just shy of 400 hp and 370 ft/lbs of torque. Or you could get a 4-liter engine from a 540 or 740 and do some work to it. I believe the E34 540 had 280 hp and around 300 ft/lbs of torque. Check those numbers, but I'm pretty sure one of the 540 engines from the mid 90's had a pretty good amount of power to start with. Add some Eurospec Bimmer stuff to that, and forced induction of some sort, and I'm sure you could start getting a whole lot of power. But to get to 600 hp, you'll basically have to build the motor from the ground up. With the V8, you could design a twin turbo setup, but it would cost quite a bit, unless you have the wrenching and design skills Fruityone was talking about. Or, you could just wait for a new M5 to get wrecked, buy the motor and associated systems, and drop it in to your E36. I was originally planning on dropping a 4.0 from a 540 into my 95 318i, but the amount of custon crap you have to fabricate/modify didn't appeal to me. Now I'm just swapping the entire drivetrain and running gear from an M3 into it and slowly building the engine up. Alpina used to drop BMW V8s into the E36 in the 90's, so you may be able to get some info and reverse engineer that or something. And of course, you could always do the famous LS1 Chevy swap, which I believe is a big waste of time and money. For what some of those guys have spent swapping in Chevy crap, they could have had the same, if not more power, out of a BMW motor. Just my $.02...

There are people out there putting in Supra twin turbo engines in the E36 do a search on the internet and I am sure you will find it. I am lazy right now otherwise I would search for you. The engine comes somewhat customized too. Up to above 700hp, but they recommend staying well below that for safety reasons and the fact that most people can't handle a car with that much power.
i dont like the idea of puting an american or japanise engine in a german car jjust doesnt seem right(wouldnt feel right either) if i were you i would just go with an e36 m3 engine i think its called the s50 or m50(but im sure the guys here will tell u) and turbo that or twin turbo it
just 2 cents
