Model Differences

Hey guys just a few things ive been coming up with dead ends even at the stealership.
I own a 92 325i and am shopping for parts but have seen that parts are hard to find for year the car was built. My car was built in 7/91 and find that most parts start with the 6/92 production line. What my question is in reference to the difference in thoes model years.
Does anyone know what thoes differences are and why the changes came about. I found it most difficult to find suspention components and find that most people are more than happy to sell you the wrong product. I know there are places I can go and they will know exactly what part will fit IE. Dinan and bavarian auto but they are aliittle pricy and would like to know what to look for when Im shopping around......Thanx again for everyones help...you guys are the Best ...Doug

325i is 2.5 liter
328i is 2.8 liter

umm, right..

Going in a little deeper than that.... The early e36 had a different suspension setup that was changed later on for a reason unbeknownst to me. There are also very slight interior differences. For the most part, it shouldnt concern you too much, but for the suspension, I would really pay the extra bit and go to bavauto, because it will be hard to find the right model elsewhere.

thats mostly where ive seen the major differences is in the suspention. I gues I dont want to take any chances with that so i guess Bav auto gets an extra couple hundred bucks from me. Guess you cant put a price on piece of mind. Thanx guys, if anyone had any more in depth answers, feel free to let me know. Doug
