Mileage Raisers

I have a '96 325i and i was doing some research into raising my cars mileage. I changed my driving style to become more easy but it hasn't changed much. So i saw that a cold air intake and a m3 muffler will make the flow better thus increasing the mileage a few. I was wondering if that was true. Thanks

I'll give you two answers, if you are looking at using the answer that you get as an excuse to get these to raise your gas mileage, then yes it will. Very yes. But if you are thinking about getting these only to raise your gas mileage then no. You would be wasting your money if that was the sole reason for you to get them. It would take you a very long time to recoup the money if saved gas if you even saved gas at all with it.

Is your car a manual or an auto? Has it been tuned up recently? Keeping up with the maintiance on the car is the best way to have good gas mileage with the car.

You'll probably get a better gas mileage improvement just by waxing the car....
