Mileage?

I have a 1998 328i with 98,000 miles on it. She's in excellent condition and I take care of her. I was just curious, on the average, with regular oil changes and the expected minor maitenaince how long, on average, will a BMW last?

I agree! Just maintain the regular inspections, and change the oil. Don't use cheap stuff either. Always use the highest grade of gas possible especially as your car gets older. I just bought a 98 328is but before that I had an 84 325e that had a little over 300,000 miles on it. sold that for 1200 dollars. So basically you just broke your car in with 98,000 miles.

Yeah! if properly taken care of you got a long life ahead of you. Mine just hit 150,000... just broken in, maybe half its life?

Not only do they last a long time, but stylistically they don't get old. Just think, you're driving a car with, what, a 12-year old body style? And it still looks pretty hot. Many people buy a new car not because it wears out physically, but because they get sick of how it looks, and are drawn to the cool new cars on the market. But BMWs, notably the E36, really don't look their age. And, not having a car payment is nice, too. I'm gonna keep mine as long as she keeps me....

Yea, definatly thanks fellas. But she's no 12 years old ... that would make it 2010 ... hahaha.
