ok i have a 1992 318is and i was thingking about putting some of that mesh grill stuff that some M3's have..also u see the mesh stuff on lots of "pimped out" cars. i wanted to put the mesh in the air cuts between the two front fog lights and spray the mesh white..ust so it stands out more. i wanted yalls opinions on if u think it would look good and how i could possibly attach the screen?
I don't think it would look good. Currently I have black mesh where my fog lights are on my e34. It looks OK up close but then again I also swapped out some of my lower grill panels from a 540i to make it look like the grill is wider. Cost about $20. $10 for mesh (RIP OFF!).
Don't do it.

i think it would look good if it was the mesh was painted black. thats what i plan to do when i put on my m bumper in the spring. i am not about to spend $140 cdn on a peice of plastic mesh.
don't got for mesh unless if it's to protect an intercooler, aftermarket mesh grills are just not for bimmers.

not for BMWs IMO...it looks good on a big mouth body kit of some kind on a Civic or Integra, but not on a classier BMW

All I know is if you do do it, don't pay for 20 bucks for a kit. Go to a your local hardware store and get gutter mesh. It's metal, easy to cut with some snips, you can cut it to the right size and it's $1.89 for a 3 feet of it.
I havn't taken a pic yet but might do very soon. I have to say it looks great, definitely worth it. My mesh is black.
I think it's something you won't really notice because it looks like thats how BMW suppose to have made it in the first place
