Memo button?

Hey all. I have been trying to figure this out for a while. On the OBC I have a "Memo" button and I dont know what is does. My fiance (bless her heart), pressed it down and started talking into the OBC (lol) in trying to see if thats what it does. I cant figure it out!

LOL... Good she only started talking in it and not writing

but seriously.. if you enable this button it will give you audible sound before each hour and if outside temp will drop down to 38 deg. F. (i think) it will make audible sound as well and switch to temp. mode.

the weather chime is always on. The memo turns on an hourly beep.

the weather thing is always on its been coming on a lot fo rme lately. And dont worry i tried to talking into it once too! but that didnt work!
