manuel climate control help and a mean backfire

recently my manuel climate control has been acting funny the a/c defrost and circulation lights are on and will not shut off is there a repair for this or should i get another one? also i been getting a mean backfire at about 1200 rmps the car will drop around to 900 then jump right back up ill be driving and let off the gas and it drops down and kicks back up any suggestions on these?

The climate control lights, that's a strange one About the back fire, see if a spark plug or other cause of ignition loss is going on. Backfire is sometimes the result of unburned mixture igniting in the hot exhaust.

Try this link, it costs almost nothing, that's how I got mine fixed =)
