M50 Vanos Help

Guys,

I need your expert help.

I have an M50 Vanos out of an E36 325 which is currently being fitted to a Marlin Sportster but I don't know enough about the engine to figure out what all the parts are.

(building this kit car is a learning experience for me!!)

The 2 parts I can't identify right now are on the right hand side of the engine (looking from the front) below the air intake and both appear to be fuel related cylinders.

Can anyone help me name the mysterious parts in the pix below ?

looks like the charchol thing. It takes fuel vapors from your gas tank, and puts them into your intake

The black plastic container is the evaporative emission cotnrol, this can holds the gases form the gas tank and then puts them on the intake manifold at starup/

The other black metal part is the cover for the fuel filter.

The silver round this underneath that black cover is the fuel filter.
