M44 tuning

Hello everybody! Recently I bought a BMW e36 m44 318is coupe 1996. I want to enforce my engine, but I can't find any information how to do it, for example, there is no any accessory from SHRICK for this engine. If anybody give me an advise, I'll be very appreciate. Thank you.

You aren't going to find a lot out there for the m42/m44 without dropping some real coin on it, the engine comes from BMW very well tuned, with good headers. Get a ECU chip, exhaust, intake, and call it a day.

I do know that Downing atlanta makes a Supercharger kit for the car, I thought Shrick did make a cam for it as well. Metric mechanic will also sell you a built motor or the parts for building your own, might want to explore those options.

i know what you mean i'm exploring the m47 crank option but its hard to find any info about it, but at least you're not getting dozens of replys saying install a six shooter.

You might try m42club.com, i'm pretty sure you have the m44 but there are a lot of m42 guys over there who have done some building it might be helpful.

I like the 318is, and I might get one as a daily driver sooner or later

i know some guys put turbo on m44 without changing internals for the forged ones. and engine was running around 50 000km since then.
