| I am wondering if it would be possible to use parts off of another similar engine to gain performance.
I was told that you can use the intake manifold off of a E30 m42 engine and swap to a m44 engine (they are suposed to flow better) however when I looked into this through print outs at the dealer the intake ports looked totally different one was round and one appeared to be oval, however with out having a actual manifold sitting next to me it is hard to tell if it could be modded to work. The upper part of the manifold also looked a lot different.
Now the hard part, through the years many car makers change the cam specs to compensate for new technology, ect.
Does anyone know if the M42 cams are different than the M44 cams, and if so would it be beneficial to swap m42 cams into a m44 engine? |
