M3 Swap With Turbo/supercharger Question - BMW Forum

I know this probably been asked a million times but o what the hell. I am planning to get an m3 engine swap for my 325is in the future. I heard that dropping a 95 m3 engine in would be the best fit? Is that true? Would it be easier to fit the 95 engine then a 96 and up 3.2 engine? and why? Also if I was to put in a 3.2 m3 engine how would it be possible to convert it back to obd1? Also what other parts would I need beside the engine? Also what good companys of turbo chargers or super chargers are good for an m3 engine? OR would it be cheaper to buy a used 95 m3 and add a turbo/ supercharger to it?

search is your friends bro, anyways yes it is possible, if you have people around you that can help you, you can do it youself. it is possible to super charge/ turbo an m3 motor swapped into your 325. you might as well buy a totalled m3 with low mileage, that way you have everything you will need for the motor plus you get things like seats etc..

You would probably be better off buying a M3. If you look at the stats and such the 95 M3 is not really much faster than like a 1998 328is. I am not sure on this as I don't own a 328. www.car-stats.com I saw this link earlier and checked it out. You may be better off trying to find a 1998 M3 or supercharging your engine you have now.
