M3 Suspension

Will an M3 supension (shocks and springs) fit a regular 3 series? It's from a 2 door and I have a 328 4 door. Is it a direct bolt on or are other components required? Will it perform properly or is there a different weight distribution between the 2 cars. Please let me know.

all e36 chasis are the same.. the the weight is slightly different!!

yes. The shocks are different though and have a tab for mounting the sway bar, so if desired you could mount it there instead of the control arm.

yeah it should be fine sinc eyou have a 328 anything littler the engine doesnt weight as much and would look goofy... well it would probably work on a 325 too

Wouldn't you need the FRONT m3 shock perch? It's smaller than the other 3 series...

you need more than just the struts. You need the whole front strut housing. For the cost you might as well get Bilstiens and H&R's unless you know where a wrecked M3 is with good front suspension.

I saw used M3 springs and shocks on Ebay and there wasn't much time left. It seemed like a good deal but I didn't know everything that would be involved with the swap. I just decided to let it go. The auction is over but here is the link if you are interested.
