New member here...considering buying a very nice e36 M3 but not crazy about the "Dove Grey" interior. Any experience out there with reupolstering the front & back seats as well as the door inserts in this model (replacing leather with leather)? Any gotcha's? Any idea what a reasonable cost would be to do something like this?
I had an upholsterer quote me almost a $1000 to redo the front two seats on my car. I thought that was very ureasonable, but may be the norm.
www.pelicanparts and www.katzkin.com sells covers, don't know about door cards. I would think a complete interior in leather, including labor, would be quite expensive. You might try looking for used seats on the internet in whatever color you want. If you are willing to settle for leatherette, it would be a lot cheaper.

Delmarco bought leather seats (not vaders, though) that were pretty new, and also got the leather door panels off an m3. He went the eBay route and took his time.
