M3 headliner in E36?

hello,
i need to replace my headliner and i found a guy selling his m3 headliner. apparently its from the same body type and he say's it'll fit no problem.

i just wanted to check here so see if that was the case?

he says he's got the moon roof and all the pilars and handles and sunshades etc. will the screw holes all be the same?

any tips on replacing the moon roof headliner?

The bodies are the same, but be sure that his m3 is a coupe if you E36 is a coupe, or that he has a sedan if yours is a sedan. Also, both cars need to either have the sunroof or both should lack it.

All the mounting points, etc. are identical.

drz is right. as long as you make sure the new headliner is coming out of the same type of car as yours everything will match up. ie, coupe=coupe and moonroof=moonroof.

the headliner is actually not too bad; i recently swapped mine with one from an M3 and the headliner portion of the job was pretty easy, actually. having a second person to help with installation is nice.
