so has anyone upgraded to an stock m3 catback on a 323is or 325. I want to bid on the exhaust, but don't want to get it if it has to performance or sound differencr for my car.

Sorry for the confusion. I have a stock 323is. The question is about an m3 exhaust on my car. If it gives any performance aspects to my car and sound wise.

no performance wise your looking at maybe 2-3hp nothing that you would ever notice, sound wise your car would sound a little different a bit deeper but once again its not like a performance exhaust really if anything if you buy it .. it will be more for the look

Furious is right on target. I installed an M3 catback in my 325i and did not notice any change in performance and didn't expect any. It has a nice civilized tone unlike a high performance catback system.

I love the stainless steel tips. These are not chrome covers, but solid stainless.

Nope.

As far as I know the 323 came with a single exhaust pipe(part of the engine detuning vs a 325). To fit a m3 muffler on it you need the cats along with the hole middle part too. If you get the hole m3 exhaust down from headers on your 323 you should get a notice in performance.

Ive also got a m3 muffler on my 325, sounds nice, looks 100000000000 times better than stock, performance wise: probably only seen on a dyno.
