I was wondering if an M3 exhaust (from the cat) would really do any difference in a 325i with (performance/sound/weight). I don't expect much, about 0-2HP I think, but it would be nice to know some numbers. Thanks
I went to the dealership parked my car out front, got some parts and I walked out and my car had turned into a M3/4 black wtih contours, I was like "MY DREAM CAME TRUE" then I walked a little further and there was my car, which is good cause I like green and my car is my car.
So anyways the guy got in his car and started it, I wasn't impressed with the sound of the M3, sounded good when he drove away though.Personally my car sounds better, but I do have a different exaust then you do.

I was wondering the same thing. I made an inquiry a little while ago, and from what i gathered. I think it is a little lighter than stock 325i and sounds different (don't know about *better* but different).
Kevin: i agree. i love the sound of the '92s . My friends always look at me (always from the passenger seat) and ask if i'm sure its stock. ITs mean even at idle.
I was contemplating an m3 exhaust, but i like my sound, and even though its an inexpensive upgrade, money may be better placed in my case.

I think i'm in love ...

It's a more soothing sound. The 92's have a muscle car sound to them very deep and growly, but the M3 and a more subdued growl to it, and it's more promenent at WOT. I'd say go for it, they still sound sweet. Very sleeperesk

Yeah, my 92 does have a very loud/deep sound that I'm very fond of but does anyone has a sound clip of a stock M3 exhaust so that I could hear a difference? What about gains in HP?
