I got my rear diffuser in the mail today, and have a couple questions?

Since it's plastic, how bad will it get chipped by rocks and things while driving?
Will I be able to install it myself?

I also want to get the front DTM lip from Bavauto.com, is this piece plastic too, or is it made out of something different, im worried that this piece will crack easy and the whole paint chipping thing?

thanks.
