I have a 97 328iS auto, and was wondering if I can swap an M3 automatic in. I'm assuming the M3 transmission is much stronger than the 328 transmission. Is this true? How hard of a swap would this be?

is the m3 transmission the same as a 2.8L transmission? I haven't been able to find any info online.
