I just came upon a 1992 4dr m3, drivers windows was shattered so i replaced it. The battery was disconnected so i connected it and tried to roll up the drivers window, it doesn't roll up, none of the windows do anything? seems that they aren't getting any power to them, can anyone please tell me where to find the fuse because the fuse panel in the eng. compartment doesn't have a place for one,,,only if it were a 2 door.
Anyhow, if you go to the thread stickied to the top of the E36 section on this board, you will find a link to download the Bentley Service Manual for the E36. You can also buy a print version. My recommendation would be buying it from amazon.com, since it is only $50 shipped from them. The manual contains electrical diagrams. You will be able to find fuse locations there. Another possibility is that you need to change the comfort relay. I am not sure where it is located, but you should be able to find that out in the Bentley manual.
