Ive always wondered what the A/M button on my 94 318i was for. Im taking it is for manual sport shifting or plain automatic shifting? I do know when i place it in M and shift when i hit adequate RPM it does get on it pretty well, (have smoked my share of lil rice burning hondas ). I even managed to keep up with my buddies 60 something buick on the highway which had a 454 in it.. ok i was about 1 1/2 car lengths away but still i was with him ;P.

Ok so how does the manual shift work? So far ive been going from 1st on up to drive via appropriate RPM. It seems to shift damn good. Ive smoked my shares of foreign cars and american cars via using manual shift.. Take 1st up to about 6 grand drop it and take each additional up to about 4-5 and drop em.
I was considering getting one of those engine mod addons thats like 10-40 bucks.. Opinions?

If you're talking about one of them little boxes with a couple of resistors in them and four wires sticking out, then...LOL. Seriously, they do sheit. It's crap, no good, worthless junk, a scam made for ripping people off. All it does is fool some sensors to make your car run rich or lean or whatever. Eventually it will foul up all kinds of crap in your engine.Be warned. DO NOT GO THERE!
