I want to lower my 95 318ti. I was wondering if anyone could take a mineute to explain to me if I need to get just lowering springs or if should get new shocks and springs? I just want a lower ride now a slamed ruff ride. I have 17 inch wheels that are not stock so im kinda worried about rubbing problumes if I were to lower it.Also what springs and or shocks to get.

If you lower less than 1" all around then you shoudl be ok with stock struts. However, if you go lower, then it is advisable to get the struts. It will make everything last longer. I'm not sure which springs are out there for the 318ti, but for shocks only get Bilstein or Koni. Nothing else.
