low beam malfunction? nothing wrong

so when i turn my headlamps on the message reads low beam malfunction but all my lights work perfectly. whats the deal?

low beam lights/sockets grounding; low beam relay defective; or check control module malfunction.

Also, check for corrosion on all those contact points, clean & reinstall....
