Loud grinding noise

carguy13 4th Gear Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Mannheim, Germany Car: 91 BMW 320i Posts: 849 Photos:	Loud grinding noise So, I woke up this morning and turn on my bimmer. Let it warm up for a second and slapped it in reverse. Still good at this point, as soon as I let ou the clutch and began moving i heard this horrible high-pitch loud grinding sound...it only happens when i move but doesn't seem to be linked to acceleration. Thoughts? __________________

U.K. Car: E38 1997 728i Individual Posts: 3,242 Photos:	Could be the throw out bearing or in may even be a drive shaft...hard to say when I cant hear it, but from what youve said I would say bearing... __________________ VELVET BLUE UK INDIVIDUAL , IM THE LAST UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL I stepped in a plate of Pasta the other day - now I have to worry about my Carbonara footprint!
