| For the past year I've been driving my '93 325i that sounds like some kid's RICE mobile (not a good thing!) The scary part is that i'm still using the OEM exhaust. Today I finally took the exhaust system out catalytic and all in hopes of replacing the muffler with an OEM M3 one. I am not into loud exhausts (obviously) and I love the way the M3 muffler sounds. Getting back on the subject, I inspected the entire unit and so far I can't see any holes or cracks or anything strange that might be causing that hideous noise. My question then is the following: When I buy the M3 exhaust, what are the odds that I'll still hear this noise? is there any chance that the catalytic converter is causing this noise? or is it a safe bet that all the racket in coming from the muffler only.
One last thing, any one know a good source for an oem m3 muffler besides ebay?
