so i think i'm screwed. Just bought the car, went to an amusment park and lost my keys on a rollercoaster. The staff at the park sucks and the lost and found should just be called the "LOST". Im just going to chauck it up as the keys are gone. Now, what options do i have. From what info i have recieved im headed to the dealer to get a key to open the door only, then get it towed to a local dealer and have them program the key for the car. The only thing that i would see as a problem is that the registration and insurance paperwork is locked inside the cars glovebox. I'm not sure if the dealer is going to cut me a new key without the proper paperwork. Let me know what advice you guys have for me. thanks for anyfeed back what so ever
ghead okay so i have called around to the local dealers and its not as bad as i expected. A copy of your registration, around $40, and 1 day will get you a key made. Granted this is a key that doenst have the wireless remote and all the other stuff, but it will start my car and let me drive home. Hopefully it will help anyone else out that is as stupid as i am/was ghead

If you locked your info inside your car the dealer can get you a lock out key which only gets you into the car, will not start it, EWS cars only.
I had my backpack with everything in it stolen today at school, including my keys. what kind of asshole takes your fucking keys if he's not going to steal your car, this person could have at least taken out my money and goods. but beside the point, I thought i had lost my spare but luckily i had the spare at home. thanks for posting that info because i was wondering what to do if i had no spare key. and i feel your pain losing the keys
god losing keys sucks.. too bad its not like ford and chevys where you can make spares at will (atleast the sligthly older cars). now its a huge hassle to have copies made

So the dealer said to me that i dont have chipped keys. And that the only reason a locksmith wouldnt touch the car is that the keys have to be "Laser-cut". I got the keys for much cheaper than I origanally assumed,. but then again being active duty military has its benifits. The guy only charged me for the cost to cut the keys and not for the keys themselves.
