Has anyone had or can anyone advise on the following symptons.

Driving along, all the dials on the dash board go to zero (as if the engine is switched off) then shortly afterwards (seconds) spring back into life as if the engine has been turned on again. At no point is there loss of power or braking or power steering etc... The radio is connected directly to the battery does NOT switch itself off when this happens, so I assume that there is not a loose battery connection.

Any help/advice would be appreciated
