| Looking for a track car
Hey all, I'm looking to pick up a track car next spring. I have been thinking of either an e30 or an e36 6 cylinder manual. I'm looking for opinions on which way to go. I think a 328i or is would be perfect, good power and torque, but the price will be higher (I'd like to get one for around $3500 US). Mileage is irrelevant because I plan on doing a build up of the motor as soon as is goes, but I would like something that is still driveable when I get it. Is the e36 suspension better than the e30's from a track point of veiw? The e36's have more power, but they are heavier to begin with (planning on stripping everything out to lighten her up). The track we race on is more of a road course than an autocross track, so there is a mix of tight turns, fast bends and chicane's (sp).
