Looking To Buy A 94 325i Convertable...

[attachmentid=13221]I'm helping my bro out and going to check a 325i convertable out with him. Its a 94 w/ 71k miles on it. I'm mechanically knowledgable, but don't know squat about BMWs. Some sound advice would be appreciated...

I've read the E36 FAQs and taken note of those items. Other than whats on there anyone else have any specifics what to look for or ask about? How about the roof mechanics... what problems to look for with that?

I've attached a picture. Am I right in thinking its got the M-style wheels?

Any car 10 years old I would have check by a mechanic...10 year old cars have problems sometimes...it depends how it was maintained. Low mileage is great...but if the car sat in a garage with no maintenence for long intervals, things can still fall apart.

As for the convertible top...if it is power...expect problems. If there are no problems...be happy.

Everything for the top is expensive...buy a Bentley, learn how to troubleshoot and fix things yourself. Find a place that fixes convertible tops and be really nice to one of the mechanics...
