100,000 miles, automatic, $5000, is this inline?
lowed 2 1/2 inches, 17" M3 wheels, would there be any problem with this combination or being lowered that much?
Where can i find the options and standards for this? Thanks
It's a inline 4 yes. Lowered 2.5 inches? 17" M3 wheels? If these descriptions are given by the previous owner I think it's safe to assume that the previous owner is young, dumb, and did not treat his car with finer parts. Which M3 wheels? Which springs to lower? What shocks/struts to support shorter springs?
Options and standards? What kind are you looking for. They are generally easy to verify as the e36 did nto have crazy electronic options like today's cars.

This is at a used car place, says one owner. Looks like 7 spoke M3 wheels, nothing said about the lowering spring,struts/shocks. Could you tell by a picture if it was done right? Should i avoid this one?
I was looking for the factory listing of standards mainly, and also options such as heated seats? thanks for any input or opionions.
your best bet would be to take it for a drive. go over rough roads, rr tracks to see if the tires rub or you here noise from the suspension. if its a reputeable dealer, he'll let you take it to your mechanic. i have a 96 318is and its a great car with 110000 miles
