Some OIGNQW#TG(*WY#Q)TY@$TRWEQFISDHG)*WYQ*TYW$#T broke my drivers side mirror... by broke I mean destroyed! I found a place... Active Automotive Imports... I think that's the name, has a mirror, but it is not red, but will cost me $100 shipped. I found another place in Alabama... Vines (something or other) has several for $65 a piece (without shipping), but are looking to see if they have a read one or not. But still, this F*%(ing SUCKS!!!! Ok... I'm going to take a shower now.

That's pretty rough man, I feel for you.
But at least it was only the mirror.
I replaced my mirror this year because the metal mounting bracket was starting to rust.
It's not that hard to do.
I picked up a used one from Ebay pretty cheap, take a look there.
Actually, If your metal mounting bracket is in tact I'll sell you the parts I have left.
It's for a 4 door E36. The colour is green and it is non-heated.
Let me know. I can take some pics tonight.

Sorry to hear about that. Get M3 style power mirrors to replace it.

not worth the insurance claim. Insurance rates go up for hit and runs too, no just at fault accidents.

Yup I've been in 3 accidents that weren't my fault (like other guy got a ticket every time) and my insurance skyrocketed - (*$%(*&#$%+)(*$%$#%

I had the exact same thing happen to my car last week - luckily someone on another forum was kind of enough to give me a spare mirror he had after he switched to M3 mirrors.

In my case, I was basically screwed in terms of insurance because I have a $300 deductible for hit and runs. Changing out the mirror is really easy though if it's any consolation. But yeah, good excuse to switch to M3 mirrors. You should be able to find a stock mirror for way cheaper than $100 shipped though on Ebay or on the classifieds. If the outer painted part is still in all right shape, you can just swap it out onto the new mirror so you don't have to repaint it.

You could get 4 door M mirrors for about that price.
