When I try to lock all doors from the outside with the key or even the inside. Often the front passenger side door does not lock the 1st attempt it often works the 2nd time but sometimes it takes more (just once so far)... Ideas?

my friend had this problem on his 328i for some reason i cant remember what it was exactly but it would come and go.
it was probably the lock actuator has gone funny, (hard to do it yourself , if it turns out to be so , you may need the dealership to do this one)

Mine did the same. I think the problem was the plastic at the top of the lock was occasionally getting caught. I changed the small black with long silver ball on top knobs and the problem went away. Looks great too. I bought them at barvarian motorsports.
