Lock problem

i tried to lock my trunk on my car but it doesn't work with the key. would it work if the key button worked because that doest work either. how do i fix that?

The lock in the trunk may need to be adjusted. Does it make the sound that its locking when you turn the key or press the button?

im having a similar problem with mine (96 318ti), the key wont go into the trunk lock, probably needs to be adjusted, but now thats the least of my problems, all the sudden the power locks just stopped werking alltogether.

u think i ned to replace the circuit under the switch in the center console??

There's a switch box in the lid on the left side of the license plate (on the inside) mine key went in but won’t turn but before that my fuse for the power lock keep on blowing till I put a 40A in and fried the switch. start to smell bad at first any hoot disconnect the switch box and the link arm that's connect to the lock see if that work if it dos then you'll need a new switch.
