Got the iacv off - plenty of movement in it, it was a little gummed up but I gave it a good cleaning anyway.
One thing I noticed is that it doesn't spring to a fully closed position - is this normal or should it close fully?

There is a slight improvement in idle now - have to change spark plugs (gave her a full service saturday, motor factors only had 3 ngk plugs to suit my car!!) Gonna check crankcase valve this sat - have to track the car as well as some other small jobs before I go off to college.

Anyone else try changing track-rod ends? The driver side one was impossible to move - had to get a torch on it to persuade it, what a b*tch of a job!
