what is the little red light by the shifter and heated seats buttons? it decided to turn on the other day and when lights turn on in my car i dont like it. im a little pissed at my car cause its just one thing after another. as most of you know ive had more than my share of fun with the damn cooling system, my brakes squeek (no high performance automobile's brakes should squeek), and i should never have wasted my money on DEPO ellipsoids. soryr about all that, but felt like venting. good news tho, ive saved up and am gonna buy new wheels, this has been quite a task being a teenager without a regular job.
ok, and if anyone knows what that light is that'd be great to know.
[based on reading these forums,]It's my opinion that the little red light on the console beside the seat heat buttons is, as 007ben said, the alarm led. Wether or not there is actually an alarm in the car, and even then, if it is working, however, are completly different questions.
Speaking of little red lights...
What's the one directly beside the volume knob on the stock stereo? I know there is an anti-theft radio led just to the right of the cassette door, but this one is different. It's just to the right of the volume knob and seems to flash regardless of wether the vehicle is running or not. The manual doesn't say anything about it (that I can see) despite the fact that it's drawn in the diagram. I don't think it is for the alarm (don't think I have one) but I am not 100% sure of that either.
Just bought this car 3 months ago, so still learning lots of new things about it...
any reason why the alarm LED would just decide to turn on one day? The previous owner decided not to give me the key fob when he sold me the car which according to the manual is the life source of the alarm system so i dont have much control over it. and yes TMac the Depo's fog up on me, the left one has a rock chip in it about the size of a nickel, and ever since my radiator hose blew off while driving one day and sprayed coolant all over the place i cant get the fog out of the left one. and im not gonna take em out and apart cause every time i do i break something, so damn cheap.
