A little help/knowledge

Hey everyone,

Had a friend of mine tell me ppl here know their stuff like no other and this is where he goes to get every piece of knowledge he needs.

I've got a couple things to ask.

One is, I just bought a 94 318is and it needs a little work, nothing major --mainly some body -- but I'm wondering what other cars are compatible with this one? I've looked online and there's people parting out 91-93's of the same as well as other years and models. I'm wondering if any of their parts would match up as well as maybe the 318i or others? If anyone has a list of compatibles that'd be swell.

Second is when driving the gauges cut out for 10-30secs every so often but kick back in. I've checked the fuses but have yet to get under the panel to see if it's a wire connection. So if someone's had this problem let me know how you've fixed it.

Lastly is the onboard computer doesn't work. Well the date and time do, but the temp display doesn't. Not sure if I've missed something, but again checked the fuses and they seem fine.

I just got the car 2 days ago and haven't had a chance to really get looking but other than that she's golden, nothing that effects the driving or anything. Just looking for some help/insight.

Welcome to the Werkz......

Body parts are mostly exchangeable on your e36 92' thru 98' as long as you match the 94' 318is body style, example coupe, sedan, etc.

As for the gauges......if all the fuses are ok, you have to remove the gauge cluster.....& check for loose connection.
