Hey guys. Im now almost 17 and for the last year have been driving a explorer that gets about 11 mpg. I want a car for gas reasons and like speed/handling better. I definetely want a manual and was wondering what i should look for. i found this car near my house Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com
It looks really nice and the miles dont seem to high. My friend jus went from an s4 to a 93 325 tricked out with 150k and told me that it is a sweet car. Dont mean to be a NUB or whatever but I definetely want a 325 or 328 and have about a $7000 budget.
looks like a decent enough car. if you could barter and get down to 6K, it'd leave you w/ a few bux to put into the car should it need any immediate maintenance (water pump, thermostat/housing, brakes, etc.).
one thing i would certainly look for w/ any used car is maintenance records. this will give you a good idea of how well (or poorly) the car was maintained and give you an idea of what it needs. good luck
One thing is : its probably got bad compression or other issues..
the temperature is already at operating temp but the revs are still over 1.1k at idle..
indicates either they are hiding something by setting it that high, it has a bad icv or some other malady.
thats one big reason i like to see photos of the cars idle at op temp before buying any car, funny how one lil photo can say so much.
thanks for the input...my friend has a 93' 325 coupe with m3 clutch and lsd and he gave me a ride today and that thing is crazy quick....i am definetely hooked and hope to buy before july so im excited...
