There's light on my 95' light switch. Why doesn't yours have one? If you look under the light switch, you will see a screw. Take it out and the whole switch plus vent comes out. There should be a replacable bulb in there somewhere.

lol, no biggie. While on the subject, the two circular knobs, the fan speed and the distribution switch, don't light up on mine. Do they light up on yours? Everything else lights up on the dash, except these 2 big switches. I know these cars have quirks, is this just one of them?

Mine light up (now).. So I guess yours are supposed to light up as well..
Edit: The whole thing (the 3 circular knobs) is only lit up by one bulb on mine. Don't know about yours.
My dash is different from yours. Are you in Europe by any chance? I've never seen three circular knobs together here in the states. I have the two large knobs in each end and two small "climate control" knobs in the middle. Well, one day when I have time, I'll check into it. Thanks. I also have a light out behind my gas guage. Just don't feel like pulling the cluster out right now.

Look like this is just difference due to year. Mine has only 2 big knobs, sensor and 2 small knobs of climat control. All of em are lighted up ( except 2 small ones)

Not surprised you haven't seen a dash like mine. And yes, I live in europe. My car has no a/c or automatic climate control . Just check http://www.realoem.com/bmw/ and find yours. Thats what I did. I had a light out behind my temp guage. Fixed it, and when I put it back the one in the middle had gone out, so tomorrow i'll be taking out the cluster once again.
