So recently my interior instrument panel and control lights went out. Basically everything that runs with the parking lights and head lights wont light up. On top of that I received a "tail light failure" on my check control. Everything works, break lights, turn signals, everything except for the actual tail light. Anyways I just finished replacing the Head Light switch and the only thing that fixed was the light in the actual switch that probably just needed to be replace anyways... Any suggestions of what it could be?
Just an update, I've checked the wiring that runs from the trunk lid to the trunk and all the wires seem to be pristine so I guess I can rule out that? One other thing I've noted is that the buzz that reminds me I've left the lights on doesn't work as well. Please if anyone could point me in another direction it would be greatly appreciated!
I think this is a dead web site I am kind of having th esame problem with my 91 but it is just my head lights go out while driving and they are out for about 15 secs or so and then come back on. What I have read here though from other pepole is that there is an LCM and that is like the main brain for the lights but I have asked about it as well as where it is and get nothing so if you can find out that much I would try that first just make sure that when you find it you get it to match the year and model.

Assuming you checked all the fuses, I would check the wiring going directly to the tail light connector's , check the connectors for corrosion & clean.........
also check the tail light sockets & bulbs at the contact points for corrosion & burnt tips.........
Final Verdict, Faulty wiring in the trunk. Even though most of the wires looked perfect it was a break in the wire at the base of the wiring harness connecting to the trunk lid. Patched it up fixed everything!
