Let's Talk Throttle Body's

So what's up with the double butterfly in the M50 throttle body? Is it for the traction control (probably), or cruise control (not likely) or what?

In my attempt to get as much air into this 2.8L, that's now the weakest link. I have 3.5" going all the way back to the throttle body which feeds an M50 intake. So like I said, my throttle body is now the weakest link in my air induction system.

Any suggestions? Anyone have a Dinan throttle body, and if so does it have just a single butterfly?

I'm not going to individual throttle bodies, but that kit from bmpd.com is sick.

If we're talking about the same thing, it's the traction control... how much does that thing run and how many horses? jesus looks tight

So, you got any idea if I still have ASC with the Dinan CAI?

And yeah, it does look sweet huh. It'd be nice with my e39 540i AFM, and Dinan CAI. But it's $2700, I don't think I'll be adding that anytime soon.

I'd say it's more than just hp, it would greatly change the sensation of the way the car accelerates aurally, physically, and well, emotionally.
