Keyless Entry Remote

hey guys, i have a question, well here it is, my keyless entry ran out of battery so i didnt change it for awhile, cuz the spare one was out of battery itself, so the next time i bought a replacement battery, when i placed it in there the red led just lit up solidly and its just like that, even when i press the buttons it just stays solid.. so i tried with the spare and it has the same result..? does this mean the thing is broken? or what? any help? thanks

I'm guessing that you put the batteries in upside down and the contacts are always in a "closed circuit" position.

check the metal things that touch when u push the button down... that could be the problem...
