I bought my '98 328i bout 3 years ago and never knew I had keyless entry (the guy who sold me the car never gave me the remote and I was to stoked about getting a BMW to notice). Just recently I was doing the typical cabin air filter replacement and found the security/keyless entry box thing behind the glovebox.
My question is can I just buy a remote off say ebay or from the dealer (if they sell them separately) and program it to work with my car OR do you have to get a whole new alarm/keyless entry kit and try not lose the remotes.
