K&N filter worth it?

Just like it says. I am deciding if to get an aftermarket intake or just replace the filter. Don't care bout sound, just proven hp and torque gains.

in a way the stock box is a cold air intake, it ducts air from outside and the box protects the air from the heat, go with the k&n panel filter

I'm just using the K&N in the stock housing right now. I think it doubled the horsepower! Its gotta be over a hundred now....

just put a cone filter on mine and retained al the factory connections, haven't really noticed a difference, my air box was really rusted. the whole project was only about $40.

a drop in air filter isn't gunna give your any preformance gains... what it MIGHT do.. it filter the air better, and give u slightly better gas mileage!

so a box replacement of a stock paper filter with a K&N box one wont give u any gains appart from maybe better gas mileage (which u also get by puttin in a new stock one) but if u replace it with a pod K&N and put it down by the bumper you'll get noticeable difference??

If you're going to displace the box like that, you'll also want to heat shield it somehow. Get creative.
