Can anyone please enlighten me here. My 328i had stock 225/50/16's with stock suspension as well and I just swapped for the above mentioned wheels and tires and now the whole setup rubs like mad in the rear. I had the rear fenders rolled out a lil bit yesterday, and its still pretty bad. I can post pictures, but to describe it, it looks like the rear is lowered and the front isnt. the front only rubs when going full lock to lock while steering and isnt an issue, but the rear will rub with just a slight body roll around a corner, or almost any size bump...
please help, I cant even drive this car the way it is...anyone have a recommendation of anyone in Southeastern MA who can help??

I can't give you an answer but anyone that can is porobaly going to ask you what the offset is on those wheels, so let us know and you'll probably get faster answer.
I have a 328iC 1996 and want to go to your exact setup - wheel size and tire size. A guy by the tag of Nunzio has this exact same setup (with ATA wheels i think) and it appears to work fine for him.

they are original BMW wheels, not the replicas, but they dont have the M3 badge like the newer M3 wheels do. If you were to look in the BMW orginal accesories booklet that came with the car, it lists the M Contour wheels as optional, and they didnt have an M3 badge at that point in time.

I thought I might need spacers before I put on the 8" wheels/tires, it's pretty close now. You're not bottoming out by chance? Just wondering, since you said it seems to be linked to body roll. Could be either too low or just not stiff enough. Sounds strange considering tire-rack has wheels up to 9.5" listed for the e36 and that's probably just fender rolling to get those in there.

I ordered up a set of the At Italia type 5 sports new from Townfair Tire and with the same rubber I had...toyo proxe T1R's 235/40/17...I'm just going to have to sell the wheels I bought, and try to sell them to someone with a 5 series, becuase I'm pretty certain that's the issue at hand...
oh well, another week and I'll have brand new wheels and rubber!

********I've got the aftermarket contours on my e36 and the bad news is.....you have to get new rims/tires if you ever want to lower the car. If you don't care about ride height, the rubbing problem can be easily fixed by putting in urethane or rubber spring spacers in the rear springs. Note to self and all others.......replica's SUCK....oh and if it doesn't have the ///M, its not the ///M (in most cases)

AMG can't build an NA engine that can compete with M engines, so they stick in a supercharger and say their cars are faster. BMW could simply do the same, but they don't out of principle.</span>
