Just installed the intake but... - BMW Forum

Hey guys, I just installed a new intake and it sounds a hell of a lot better and seems more responsive but i've run into a problem. I need to make some mounts or something cause when the car starts up or shuts down, the intake rattles around. Does anyone know of a good trick thats not ghetto that would keep the intake in place??

Zip ties and duct tape.....

You could try and make up a braket to use the cruise control mounting points.

im gonna have to find some zip ties... not a problem. I just couldnt believe how much of a difference it made on my car, the engine sounds a hell of a lot deeper and when i floor it I can hear the air getting sucked into the air filter.

Go to your hardware store, buy hose clamps. They work.

I actually found the intake on the classifieds forum and the shipping was fast. The guys email that i bought it from is REENGINEERS@aol.com. Just email this guy and ask him to send you pictures of the intakes for your year and model and he'll send you some pictures. I think he charges $70 for all the intakes.
